Sony Ericsson K300i Reviews
Sony Ericsson’s K300i is a triband handset with a VGA camera, 12MB of internal memory, a media player and Java games.
There are some nice reviews for this mobile phone from Sony Ericsson.
CNET writes about the Sony Ericsson K300i (review):
The Sony Ericsson K300i is reminiscent of Sony Ericsson’s popular T610 model in terms of design and button layout. In fact, the keypad is almost identical aside from the inclusion of a WAP shortcut key on the more recent K300i mobile phone. One thing we liked about the T610 was the blend of aluminium and smooth gloss case, even though it was prone to smudging. We’re not as fond of the Sony Ericsson K300i’s cheaper plastic case, yet its simplicity, size, and silver style still exude a graceful quality.
Sony Ericsson has managed to squeeze a nice range of extras onto the K300i phone including a camera and a media player. It is an easy to use phone with a relatively modern silver design at a budget price.
There is an excellent Sony Ericsson K300 review at GSMArena. They write:
“The new Sony Ericsson K300 is a cheap and elegant phone equipped with built-in camera, plenty of interesting functions and immensely fast Java applications. In terms of design it picks up again the legendary T610 model.
Sony Ericsson K300 is equipped with enough functions and options to satisfy the majority of the mobile phone users. The only weak aspect of its functional equipment is the small capacity of the phonebook. As for its size and weight, the phone is cutely small and comfortable. Phone’s outlook is simple, but also elegant; the quality of the display is sufficient, controlling is relatively comfortable. If we add the reasonable price, that does not exceed 170 euros, there is no doubt the new Sony Ericsson K300i model has extremely high chances to become the hit of the oncoming summer.
InfoSyncWorld takes an Sony Ericsson K300i preview:
“The SonyEricsson K300i phone delivers multimedia on the cheap: “It’s getting crowded in the nether regions of Sony Ericsson’s K line-up of handsets: first, there was the K700i, then the K500i, and now finally there’s the SonyEricsson K300i - not to mention the K750i, also unveiled today. That’s five handsets all in all, but unlike the K750, which does its best to stand out from the crowd, the SonyEricsson K300i is eerily similar feature-wise to the K500i and K700i.
With a talk time of up to 7 hours and standby time of up to 300 hours, the K300i phone also boasts a few other noteworthy features such as support for Infrared and USB, up to 12 MB of memory and a MP3/AAC music player. All in all a modest offering, with its success depending entirely on keeping the price down. ”
Mobile Review writes about the Sony Ericsson K300i handset:
The manufacturer stresses the difference between the models not only by their design, production quality but also colour screens. And if K700 is equipped with a 176×220 pixels screen then K500 has the resolution of 128×160. That’s natural the model with 300 index has a simplified screen and so it is STN with the resolution of 128×128 pixels. Looking at top models with index 900 we see that the screen is not larger here but the number of colors increased from 65K to 262K. A line of S index fashion products seems a bit separated and do not support the concept described. The screens are similar in models with similar indexes thus Z300 has the same screen as K300.
Summing up all above we can say that Sony Ericsson again has represented a competitive solution, the device possible to become dominating in its price segment (if they were produced at the time). There is also a planer solution called Karina that differs in changeable panels (covers) and 20-25 USD less price. Technically Karina is a younger sister of an elder model and has a more youth funny design.
